Design

Objectives: To design and build IT infrastructures to support complex systems and organizations. Successful entreprises usually need High Performance Computing, large data management, large virtualization clusters (for example to provide instances on a Private Cloud), High Availability of services or all of these requirements in different parts of their IT infrastructure.

Why: The IT of a (modern) company is its engine and so must run as fast and efficiently as possible, with little waste and no interruptions. The automation and the streamlining of processes is the key to be truly competitive and successful.

How: We build systems with free software and open standards: GNU/Linux (we use Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS) as the operating system, many different software for the server virtualization (Ganeti, KVM, OpenNebula), specialized tools to manage large data (GlusterFS, NFS, GPFS) and custom software for other infrastructure components (OpenVPN, Openswitch, OGS and other).
